The Erlander Home Museum is a cultural centerpiece of Rockford's Swedish ancestry community, and a major asset of the Society. The Museum is located within the home which was built for John Erlander and his family in 1871, within the historic Haight Village of Rockford.
Collections include Rockford-made furniture and many artifacts recalling Swedish immigration to northern Illinois and Rockford's Swedish heritage.
From now through March 2010, the Museum will be open Tuesday thru Friday by appointment only, and on Sundays from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Because of the size of the Museum and the availability of guides, large groups should call for special arrangements.
Whatever the size of your group, please come to visit the Museum and enjoy the unique contents of the home. During your visit, enjoy a friendly coffee break with the staff and browse through the gift shop. |
