My art is narrative, elicits emotion, and is unapologetic–– mixing traditional techniques, and forging new approaches, with known and new materials.
I draw inspiration from personal experiences and relationships, creating relatable subjects in paintings of people and nature. My art, a blend of traditional and innovative techniques, aims to evoke emotions and tell stories. My journey is marked by a commitment to improvement, overcoming setbacks, and a dedication to exhibiting my work.
One of my fundamental principles is that art serves as a social exchange. If an artwork is not viewed at some point, its purpose diminishes.
Each day I spend my existence in a world dedicated to my need to visually express art, within a community of other artists, venues, facilitators, and policy makers— each to whom I’m grateful— and from each I sometimes gain benefit.
