| We are delighted to bring back the Pops Series, and this first performance pays tribute to famed conductor Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra. The concert features orchestral favorites of Strauss and Dvořák, along with some of the most cherished melodies from John Williams’ movie music, Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, and classics of Leroy Anderson. The anchor of the program is Gershwin’s jazz-influenced Rhapsody in Blue, which this season celebrates the milestone of 100 years since its premiere. We are thrilled to feature virtuoso pianist Christopher Guzman for the centennial of this jewel! |
