Heroes of American Women’s Voting Rights

The painting is a series of portraits, not of only Suffragists, but other women working within their spaces, to support the right to vote. People of color were not allowed to join the two main Women’s Voting Rights organizations, nor the nascent League of Women Voters. This painting includes a couple of the many people of color striving for equal rights, in voting and in American life.
