New Ways Summer Program

NEW WAYS is a dynamic collaboration between three Rockford nonprofits: Rockford Area Arts Council, United Way of Rock River Valley, and New Genres Art Space. Led by educators who hold various arts technology and education degrees, from internationally recognized universities, Fairgrounds Boys & Girls Club at 609 Kilburn Avenue and United Way’s Marie Avenue Strong Neighborhood Strong House will offer summer classes in animation, sound art, and 3-D printing.

The pioneering partnership between the Arts Council, News Genres, and United Way will afford its participants their first introduction to digital, time-based, socially-engaged, contemporary experimental art.
