REGISTRATION:
Nicholas Conservatory Rose Clock Painting

• 10-15 high school students, ages 13-18

• 5-8 high school students, ages 13-18

• July 13-23 (two weeks), Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

  • Work to be completed at the Nicholas Conservatory, Rose Garden and Sea Scout House (near Rose Garden, used for inclement weather, planning, and sound work)

  • SPARK! Participants will work with a local artist, Rodrigo Ceballos, on the composition and execution of a social-justice themed painting; Ceballos’ recent work: https://www.wifr.com/content/news/Rockford-artist-creates-mural-brings-unity-to-the-stateline-571434511.html

  • SPARK! Participants will work with New Genres Art Space instructors on accompanying sound and videography; there is an opportunity for the video/audio component to be hosted in the lobby of the Nicholas Conservatory as a complementary element to the Rose Garden’s visual art.

  • SPARK! Participants will provide their own sack lunch, drinks, snacks
