Discovery Center to offer special activities during Thanksgiving Week

ROCKFORD, Ill. –Visit Discovery Center for a cornucopia of festive activities you will surely be thankful for! In addition to the more than 300 interactive exhibits at this children’s science museum, here are some special things Discovery Center will offer Thanksgiving Week:

Wednesday, November 22

• Design fall art projects in our Art Studio from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Explore the universe during planetarium shows at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm
• Enjoy live science shows at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm
• Create a parade balloon (like the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade balloons) in the Makerspace between 12-4:00 pm

Thursday, November 23 – Closed for Thanksgiving

Friday, November 24

• Design fall art projects in our Art Studio from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Explore the universe during planetarium shows at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm
• Enjoy live science shows at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm
• Learn how to assemble Cubelets to create and program robots
• Enjoy open making in the Makerspace from 12-4:00 pm

Saturday, November 25

• Design fall art projects in our Art Studio from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Enjoy open making in the Makerspace from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Explore the universe during planetarium shows at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:30 pm

Sunday, November 26

• Design fall art projects in our Art Studio from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Enjoy open making in the Makerspace from 12-4:00 pm
• Explore the universe during planetarium shows at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:30 pm
