Artist Profile

Elisa Boughner

I work as both a painter and sculptor, creating oil paintings and three‑dimensional works across a range of scales. My paintings focus primarily on still life and landscapes, using oil paint to explore light, form, and atmosphere. As a sculptor, I work with a variety of materials, including metal, glass, concrete, ceramics, and wood.

My goal is to inspire viewers to look more carefully at the world around them—to recognize beauty in imperfection and to see design in even the most ordinary surroundings. Through my work, I seek to capture, interpret, and re‑present beauty as I experience it. I hope each piece evokes a physical and emotional response, much like the feeling I have when a work is complete. As each viewer brings their own perspective, the work continues to change, shaped by the state of mind of those who encounter it.

My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover beauty in the imperfect and design in everything we see.
