I enjoy searching for and finding vintage pieces of jewelry to use in my art pieces. No worries if the pieces are broken or missing stones; I may need to alter or modify them to fit my new creation, which will be a new design in a shadow box, safe and secure behind glass. My favorite project is commissioned by a customer, using their special loved one’s pieces, so it becomes a memorial for them that is no longer in basement storage.
I love repurposing most of what I use to produce my art pieces, from the frames to the fabric backgrounds, the easels I use to display them, and the table decorations I use at my art shows.
