As a Rockford-based painter and digital artist, I create vibrant abstract landscapes that reflect a deep concern for the changing environment.
Beginning my painting practice in 2013, I have focused since 2019 on abstract landscape work using oil and acrylic paint, magazine collage, and digital tools such as Photoshop. My work draws inspiration from direct engagement with nature—observing storm-lit skies, flowing rivers, and dense tangles of wildflowers within an ever-evolving natural world.
Alongside scenes of vitality and beauty, the artist also responds to landscapes altered by human activity. My work reflects moments such as migratory birds gathering in contaminated marshlands, or smoke-filled skies illuminated by intense sunsets—visual reminders of environmental impact and transformation.
While acknowledging these challenges, I emphasize resilience and hope. My work seeks to inspire curiosity, reflection, and care for our shared environment, encouraging viewers to foster a deeper connection with—and responsibility for—the natural world.
